Art at schools

Stroom has been implementing the percentage scheme for art assignments at schools for the municipality of The Hague since 1993. Over the past thirty years, Stroom has completed more than a hundred art assignments at schools throughout The Hague. When renovating existing schools or new construction, 0.64% of the budget is used for an art assignment, with Stroom supervising the assignment. This Art at Schools scheme in The Hague is one of the few percentage schemes in the Netherlands. The works of art are always created in close collaboration with the schools and are made specifically for the location and the children. Thousands of children come into contact with art almost daily and in a casual way through school.

Below you will find a selection of our Art at schools projects. The remaining archive will be added to this page soon.
