For the entrance hall of the Jan van Nassauschool, artist Berry Holslag created two ceramic sculptures: a boy with a globe and a girl with a parrot. The parrot references the relief in the staircase of the old school building (also by Berry Holslag).
The artwork was made possible by the municipality of The Hague through the so-called Percent for Art program for public art commissions. Stroom Den Haag acted as advisor and coordinator for the project.
