Primary school De Grote Beer is an urban school adjacent to a forest. Jens Pfeifer's artwork emphasises the school's relationship with nature. On the roof of the gym, he placed a group of 6 polyester deer; it looks as if they have just come from the forest behind. The herd has a non-intrusive presence, looking different each time from different vantage points. Although the animals do not move, the artwork is never static. The sky, the trees, the weather and the seasons.
