Stroom for artists

At Stroom, as a cultural institution and networking organization, establishing connections is central to everything we do and who we are. We are committed to strengthening The Hague's art climate and increasing its visibility.

Stroom supports artists from The Hague very directly through various avenues and within a wide variety of topics. We do this by engaging in conversation, online, via email, phone and 'in real life', both on an individual level or in groups and through info meetings, table discussions and studio visits. We ensure that artists have an updated online platform via haagsekunstenaars.nl, we mediate in the search for studios or issues with landlords and managers, we act as a resource for artists on all fronts, from the development of artists' initiatives to how to make a budget, and of course we support through the various financial support options. For this purpose Stroom has three types of subsidies/arrangements: PRO grants, SPOT grants and OBJECT grants. Of course we also share with artists from The Hague through our channels and this website arrangements, calls, opportunities and possibilities that arise outside Stroom.
