Location: Islamic elementary school Yunus Emre, Mandelaplein 2, The Hague

José den Hartog made a special art application of tile tableaux on three facades of the new building of Islamic elementary school Yunus Emre. The architect of the new building had reserved a large number of 'niches' for tile work. José den Hartog has given this an idiosyncratic interpretation; her drawings on the ceramic tiles - mainly blue glass acid drawings on white tiles with some yellow accents - create a dreamy image. In some places you seem to enter an exotic garden; other tableaux depict more abstract motifs.
