Studio visits Jacob Fabricius

On Thursday 30 January 30 and Friday 31 January 2020, Jacob Fabricius, artistic director of Kunsthal Aarhus in Denmark, will make a series of studio visits to artists in The Hague. He describes his areas of interest as follows:

"I am always curious about new artists that I don't know. Right now I am researching artists who can respond to literature, or are willing to take a conceptual challenge. Also music, performance related works or practises interest me. I have worked with public space a lot. There are no limits in medium or practice."

Beknopte biografie Jacob Fabricius

Jacob Fabricius is currently artistic director at Kunsthal Aarhus. Previously Fabricius was director at Malmö Konsthall, Sweden (2008-12) and at Kunsthal Charlottenborg, Copenhagen, Denmark (2013-14), where he has curated numerous of international exhibitions. Fabricius has also utilized a number of international exhibitions and projects in public spaces. Amongst others, as a curator for iwillmedievalfutureyou1, Art Sonje Center, South Korea and EXPO Chicago, InSitu, Chicago, USA. and artistic Director for Busan Biennale 2020, South Korea. Fabricius is the founder of the publishing company Pork Salad Press and newspaper project Old News. He has published more than 80 books, records and CDs.
