Financial arrangements

Stroom also supports The Hague artists through various financial grants. Stroom has three types for this purpose: PRO subsidies, SPOT subsidies and OBJECT subsidies. The goals are to increase the visibility of art and artists in The Hague and to strengthen the art climate in The Hague, in particular by encouraging research and in-depth research, international exchange and the bonding of academy leavers with the city.

The subsidy system of Stroom distinguishes itself from national schemes by the 'Hague interest'. The underlying criterion in the assessment of applications is always the (contribution to) improvement and reinforcement of The Hague's art climate.
