SPOT Grants
With the SPOT schemes, Stroom Den Haag contributes to the costs of solo and group exhibitions at home and abroad, as well as the costs of documentation and promotional material. There are three different SPOT schemes: Documentation, Individual Exhibition and Group Exhibition. The common goal of these financial schemes is to increase the visibility of artists from The Hague. Fees can be requested by individual artists and visual arts initiatives and organizations. Stroom's contribution amounts to 75% of the eligible exhibition and documentation costs.
SUBMIT APPLICATION
SPOT applications for 2025 can only be submitted digitally from 1 December 2024 and throughout 2025 and as long as the budget is sufficient via: spotsubsidies@stroom.nl.
The available budget is spread over four annual quarters. If the quarterly maximum of the budget has been reached, no more applications can be submitted for that particular quarter. On the website of Stroom Den Haag you can see for which quarters applications are still being processed. Keep a close eye on them yourself.
note Due to a change in the agreements with the municipality of The Hague, Stroom Den Haag officially no longer grants subsidies but financial compensation. The provision of information, website and forms will be adjusted for this purpose in the coming period. It is therefore possible that the word 'subsidy' can still be found during this transitional period.
note application forms are in Dutch
Artists from The Hague update their visual material and CV on www.haagsekunstenaars.nl prior to the application. SPOT applications will only be processed if they have been met.
Within the financial regulations of Stroom Den Haag, only one subsidy can be awarded for the same proposal.
It is not possible to submit a PRO and SPOT application at the same time for the same proposal.
Applications for exhibitions that are already in progress, exhibitions and presentations organized by the Dutch museums or government and design fairs/exhibitions will not be considered.
Applications will only be considered if they:
- meet the conditions set;
- have been received within the set submission date;
- be complete.
note Different conditions apply to the three SPOT schemes. For each scheme, the framework, the required information and the assessment criteria are explained in more detail below.
