Window display: We're heading outside!

We're heading outside! That is the theme of our summer programme. Until early September, the window display showcases the city's rich collection of outdoor artworks that can be enjoyed every day - 24/7 and completely free of charge. From the statue of Haagse Harry on the Grote Markt to the sculpture commemorating Queen Juliana near the railway station. From Escamp to Scheveningen, and from the Zuiderpark to the Vinex neighbourhood of Leidschenveen-Ypenburg, the city itself is one vast open-air museum. Its sculptures, monuments, plaques and reliefs enrich the everyday lives of residents and visitors alike.

Follow the map on a walk past newly installed artworks in the city centre, cycle through Escamp to discover impressive post-war reconstruction art from the 1950s and 1960s, or explore the contemporary artworks that give the Vinex neighbourhood of Leidschenveen-Ypenburg its distinctive character. Each district tells a different story about the city and the people who live there.
