Watch the video: Friction and Connection #4 Rasp - Jan Snoeck

In this session of Friction and Connection #4, the focus is on the artwork Rasp (1968) by Jan Snoeck. The five-meter-high sculpture stands like a kind of monument at the corner of Segbroeklaan and Goudenregenstraat. By now, it is disappearing among the greenery and needs to be relocated to another site. The busy traffic junction, with its signposts, lampposts, and traffic lights, detracts from the power of this monolithic sculpture.

During this session, participants - including family members of Jan Snoeck, local residents, a biologist, a student and teacher from the nearby Segbroek College, a project developer, urban planner, art dealer, and other stakeholders - engaged in discussion with one another.
