Studio visits Carsten Seiffarth
On Tuesday 11 February and Wednesday 12 February 2020, Carsten Seiffarth, sound artist, curator and artistic director of platform Singuhr will make a series of studio visits to artists in The Hague. He describes his areas of interest as follows:
"Sound installation art, situation / site specific work, public space installations and interventions (space and architectural) with sound as one of the materials."

Short biography
Carsten Seiffarth (1963) is a sound artist and curator based in Berlin, educated in the field of sociology and musicology. Since 1991 he is a freelance curator, producer, dramatic advisor, organisational manager. Carsten Seiffarth is curator and artistic director from the urban sound art initiative Bonn hören, in Bonn and the sound art platform Singuhr projects in Berlin. In the past years he has curated several exhibitions, given lectures and workshops worldwide. Seiffarth has (co)-edited various catalogues and books. Most recent are,Entre límites - Zwischen grenzen(Berlin 2018) and Terry Fox ,The eye is not the only glass that burns the mind(Leipzig 2018).
After leaving highschool Carsten Seiffarth took on different activities in the area of social affairs. Between 1986 and 1988 he studied Orchestral Music (trombone) at the Franz Liszt School of Music in Weimar. Form 1988 and 1989 he was a visiting student at the Humboldt University Berlin Art History, Aesthetics and Philosophy. And from 1990 until 1994 he studied Sociology and Musicology at the TU in Berlin. More information can be found via the following websites.
