Catalog published on the occasion of the similar titled exhibition at Charlottenborg Udstillingsbygning, Copenhagen (May 8–June 9, 2002), curated by Toby Webster, Will Bradley and Henriette Bretton-Meyer (The Modern Institute, Glasgow. The idea for 'My Head is on Fire but My Heart is Full of Love' grew out of a discussion about “Psychedelic Minimalism,” a paradoxical term for Robert Smithson’s early experiments . The exhibition was not about super-clean surfaces or ample wardrobe space. Refreshingly, Minimalist sculpture is quoted as part of a larger constellation of cultural objects and obsessions that revolve around the erotics of an endlessly refracted reality.
