Ruben Pater
Ruben Pater is a designer at a moment in time when more design is about the last thing the world needs. In search for ethical alternatives, he designs, writes, and teaches while working in Amsterdam, the Netherlands.
Ruben's latest book ‘CAPS LOCK: How Capitalism Took Hold of Graphic Design and How to Escape From It' is a book that retraces the relations between graphic design and capitalism. It is an inspirational book, full of sources for design students, educators, and visual communicators all over the world.

Kuan-Ting, Chen
‘Met Stoelen' is a book that discusses the relationship between humans and objects - specifically chairs, and the story of them. The images were used from the archives of the Rijksstudio, which are divided into three chapters: sketches of the chair, photograph documentations of the chair, and images of how people engage with chairs. Each one of these chapters represents a different stage in the life of a chair - from pre-production to user behaviours and interactions.
Kuan-Ting, Chen, BA student from Graphic Design Arnhem, is from Tainan, Taiwan, but currently based in Arnhem, the Netherlands.
