Journalist Drees Koren will guide a tour through the exhibition Living Remains by Mexican artist Raul Ortega Ayala. Through performances, video works, texts, and objects, Living Remains explores the theme of food. The focus is primarily on the role that food plays in our daily actions and rituals, in religion and culture, and the impact these have on our emotions and inner lives.
Drees Koren is an independent writer and journalist. Thanks to her studies at the Hotelschool The Hague, she enjoys writing about food. She was one of the three writers of the Foodprint City Guide The Hague, which focuses on the culinary identity of the city, and conducted research for Stroom The Hague on food production in the city (Food for the City. A Field Study). Drees publishes in Bouillon! Magazine and newspapers such as nrc.next and Trouw. She also reviews restaurants for the green glossy Green.2. She previously worked as the editor-in-chief at the Hague city magazine NL70.
