Stroom Den Haag and voordekunst organize an information event in which experts will give a step by step presentation of a crowdfunding process. A general presentation on crowdfunding will be followed by two parallel workshops; respectively a session for individual The Hague-based artists and a session for local art institutions, associations, initiatives and collectives.

PROGRAM

2:30-3:30 PM: General presentation: what is crowdfunding and how does it work?
Using a crowdfunding canvas, we will look at the reason for the campaign, target amount, target audience and campaign promotion. We will also discuss costs, offer tips and inspiring best practices, and indicate how matchfunding partners (including the Mondriaan Fund, the City of The Hague and Cultuurfonds Zuid-Holland) can contribute to a crowdfunding campaign.

3:30-4:00 PM: Break

4:00-5:00 PM : Two parallel workshops

In two separate sessions, crowdfunding campaigns will be looked at using a few examples. The workshops include various assignments. Topics covered include: defining the target group (who), triggers in your correspondence (why), the main message of a campaign, quid pro quos, promotion (how) and campaign planning (when).
