Bike excursion with Drees Koren

Exploring a city can be done in many ways. One of the most enjoyable, and certainly the tastiest, is to let food guide you. Behind buildings, streets, squares, canals, stalls, and gardens lie many flavorful, historical, and personal stories about producing, selling, and consuming food. The Foodprint City Guide The Hague (edited by Janneke Vreugdenhil and Francien van Westrenen) describes this culinary identity. During this Hague Foodprint Tour, that identity can not only be seen but also tasted. From a miefactory to allotment gardens, from herring to croquettes, from coffee to stationery, and from a Georgian neighborhood store to an Asian wholesale market. Led by Drees Koren (journalist and also one of the three authors of the guide), this tour offers a behind-the-scenes look at typical Hague food phenomena.
