Sunday 6 September 2020, 12-17 hrs

On Sunday 6 September Stroom opens its doors for The Hague's BinnenUIT festival. This year a special corona proof edition, not on the Lange Voorhout but at the homes of the cultural institutions themselves. At Stroom you can choose from the three activities below or check out all of them.

Exhibition
We live in turbulent and confusing times. Many people long for a better future, in which we interact in a positive way with each other and with all other living beings on the planet. During AltVisions - A Festival of Humans, Artworks and Ideas (3-5 Sep.) the participants will talk about the possibilities of creating an inclusive and resilient future. The accompanying exhibition - with contributions by The Flag of Compassion, Maarten Vanden Eynde with Musasa, Esther Kokmeijer, Jonas Staal, Ivanka Annot & Amber Oskam and Iliada Charalambous - will remain on view on Sunday 6 September. >>read more

Walking map
Stroom Den Haag is the leading organization when it comes to art in public space and is celebrating its 30th anniversary in 2020. So we created a special edition of the city map Let's go outside again!, featuring 150 works of art on the streets, along the beach and in the parks of The Hague. Pick up your free map and start planning your own trip! >> read more

Escape Room
Presentation

Katerina Konarovská presents an alternative for the concept of the ‘escape room' and has created an artistic ‘living space' (in collaboration with Katerina Sidorova, Sarah Atzori, Martin Gabriel and Gijsje Heemskerk). A space with a private character, reminiscent of our personal living environment - the space to which each of us was forced to withdraw in recent times, the space that defined our freedom of movement, forced us to stay still but also offered protection. The room is not a static one, but changes and grows over time. >> read more
