The best organization of Ypenburg, BOY, has a creative group in the early years, and Stroom also has its own hands, and you have a plan for a new VINEX district, you initiate and then you want to do it.
In September 2003, the text work ‘Van betovering tot toen’ by Milou van Ham was delivered. We have a lot of land on the Landingslaan, an enormous land area of 2500 x 60 meters, and we have the largest amount of land in the Landingslaan area where you can find it. In the cross-section of the Landsingslaan, walls have been placed 40 times, which Van Ham uses together as one work. ‘Van betovering tot toen’ consists of a series of words that have been freed on the 40 polished retaining walls.
Over the past 3 years it has been made by Theo Jansen in Ypenburg at work on the noise barrier, ‘de Haagse Heuvelrug’. Before you go to the workshop in Daar, you can experiment with plastic that is constructed in different ways.
The project 'Art at Home in Ypenburg' is a series of small works: several figurative figures by more than one artist can be read for free by the owners of Ypenburg. The works must literally be attached to the house. The project is carried out in collaboration with Kunsthuis 7X11. Some of our names are: Douwe Halbertsma, Jeroen Allart, Bert van Ommen, Theo Schepens, Ingrid Mol, Tom Claassen, Arja van den Berg, HiMom (Jeroen Bruls & Krijn Christiaanse).
The project 'Heklucht' by HiMom (a combination of a bicycle pump and bicycle rack) was awarded the Dutch Design Prize 2006 in the category 'Product Public Space'.
