British artist Nils Norman conceived the art project Edible Park as part of the multi-year program Foodprint. It consists of two gardens, a sustainable pavilion and a series of activities. With this project, Norman wants to test in practice what an ecological design method like permaculture can mean for a city like The Hague.Edible Park is a multi-year project, carried out in close cooperation with the Hague organization G'Aarde Gezonde Gronden.
Locations Edible Park
Edible Park's gardens are both located in The Hague's Escamp district, in Zuiderpark (near the city farm Herweijerhoeve, Anna Polakweg 7 on the grounds of Natuur- en Milieueducatie) and on the grounds of Amateururtuindersvereniging Nut en Genoegen (Meppelweg 882), respectively. Both locations have a public function: they are intended as information points for permaculture and sustainability, but people who want to actively help can get to work there directly. www.dismalgarden.com
