Mickey Yang @Leiden and Soest
Hague-based artist Mickey Yang a sculpture for Alexine Tinne, a Hague explorer and one of the first female photographers in the Netherlands. Tinne traveled through the Sahara with a vast entourage of equipment, searching for the source of the Nile. Yang's new installation offers a critical depiction of this journey. This work is featured in two exhibitions: She Said at Beelden in Leiden, on display until August 4, and Paltz Biennale in Soest, on display until June 23. Participation in both exhibitions has been made possible by a SPOT Individual Exhibition grant.
