Krijn Giezen, 'Haagse Beek, Beginning and End', 1992
Krijn Giezen, 1992
Location: Various locations in Scheveningen and The Hague
In 1992, Krijn Giezen conducted an analysis of the Haagse Beek, which flows from the dunes (Kijkduin) through the Peace Palace and then underground to the Hofvijver. Over time, the course of the stream has changed, been modified, and become polluted. Giezen invited colleagues Remko Scha, herman de vries, and Ian Hamilton Finlay to draw inspiration from these aspects of the Haagse Beek.
