"Art as un-alienated labour. I'm less interested in specific media than attitude. The attitude has to do with relationship to people, places, and practices that are grounded in community, history and inquiry into the built environment. Alternative economies and aesthetics - alternative to those that alienate people or obliterate ways of life. Artworks that are well-made and have uses beyond the display function in a gallery. Artworks that sound as good as they look. Artists that develop methods of living together with dignity."
