Oproep inschrijving atelierbezoek Franciska Zólyom op 9 en 10 februari 2016
Op dinsdag 9 en woensdag 10 februari 2016 zal Franciska Zólyom, directeur Stiftung Galerie für Zeitgenössische Kunst Leipzig een aantal atelierbezoeken afleggen bij kunstenaars in Den Haag. Zij is geïnteresseerd in transculturele fenomenen. Zólyom: "I'd like to learn more about artistic projects that look at changing codes in urban space, at the transformation of artistic expression or at the notions of home and belonging. How can these issues be addressed and negotiated? My interest is not related to any specific medium or means of expression, however I'm keen to know about endeavors that rework and rethink the artistic form".Als u geïnteresseerd bent in een atelierbezoek van Franciska Zólyom kunt uiterlijk vrijdag 29 januari laten weten via een email bericht aan Natascha Helmer:

Wij vragen u daarbij om uw interesse voor het bezoek te motiveren IN HET ENGELS (als Word bestand of in een e-mail). De binnengekomen reacties worden samen met suggesties vanuit Stroom aan Franciska Zólyom voorgelegd. Uit de lijst zal zij een keuze maken op basis waarvan het bezoekprogramma zal worden samengesteld. U ontvangt alleen een bericht wanneer u door de curator bent geselecteerd voor een atelierbezoek.
Beknopte biografie van Franciska Zólyom
Franciska Zólyom is born in Budapest. She studied art history in Cologne and Paris and worked as a curator at the Ludwig Museum of Contemporary Art in Budapest (1997-99). After an internship at the Hamburger Bahnhof in Berlin (2001 and 2003/04) she became the director of the Institute of Contemporary Art - Dunaújváros, Hungary (2006-09). There she worked together with international artists, on site- and context-related projects, initiating and fostering artistic research on local history and on the spatialization of ideologies. Since 2012 she is the director of GfZK - Museum of Contemporary Art Leipzig where she presented the work by LITTLE WARSAW, Dainius Liskevicius and inititated collaborations with Céline Condorelli, Urs Lehni and myvillages.org, among others. As a member of the University Council of the Bauhaus University Weimar and of the Cultural Senate of Saxony she is engaged in the making of education reforms and cultural policies. She is board member of tranzit.hu.
Over het atelierbezoekprogramma
Stroom nodigt sinds 2006 regelmatig curatoren, kunstenaars en critici uit binnen- en buitenland uit om atelierbezoeken af te leggen bij Haagse kunstenaars. Het atelierbezoek biedt de kunstenaar de gelegenheid om zich met zijn/ haar werk te presenteren. Het vormt een gelegenheid tot opbouwende kritische reflectie op het werk in een gedachtenwisseling met een gekwalificeerde expert. En in het verlengde hiervan wordt natuurlijk de bekendheid met het werk gestimuleerd.
