Library of the City Hall Den Haag

Marking the occasion of the opening of the new City Hall, the 's Gravenhaagsche Boekhandelaars-Vereeniging (society of book dealers of The Hague) donated an artwork to the Public Library. A ladder is placed against the wall on which photographs of bookshelves from private homes have been attached. Monshouwer wanted to show a relation between book, library and book shop.
