Erna Nijman - Bronze sculpture with seating

Police Station Laak, Slachthuislaan 24 , Den Haag

Taking the history of this location into consideration, the slaughterhouse grounds, the trees that were there and the characteristics of police work, Nijman designed a bronze sculpture, three metres high, that looks a bit like a bare tree, also makes one think of a backbone with heavy vertebrae and simultaneously works as a bench.
