under the sun,
but there are new suns

Stroom Den Haag welcomes you to New Suns: the closing program of the exhibition Positions: Soft Intimacies. The program, which takes place on Friday 5 July, offers immersive multimedia performances, talks, and workshops.

Together with the participating artists and speakers, we welcome the audience to take part in this program to share, experience, and celebrate. Rooted in embodied and communal practices, as well as ways of ancestral living, the various contributions invite us on a journey across time and space.

Bringing together art works at the intersection of spirituality, ecology, cultural heritage, and oral history, the exhibition Positions: Soft Intimacies invites us to reflect on the politics and poetics of remembering and forgetting. How does art facilitate the exploration of concepts related to memory and the creation of a sense of place? During New Suns, we come together to dive deeper into artistic and institutional practices that underscore the transformative power of memory, ancestral knowledge and archives amidst rapidly changing landscapes.

During this event, a small meal (vegetarian options available) and drinks are provided by Stroom. Our current exhibition Positions: Soft Intimacies is on show until July 7th.
