Ondertussen: Leontine Lieffering

21 July thru 9 September 2007
Location: Hogewal 1-9

The former reception area of Stroom has been converted into a small exhibition space. On a regular basis there are presentations of artists who have received a subsidy in the categories Stroom PRO- and SPOT-grants. The informal exhibitions and presentations are intended to illustrate the diversity of the Stroom grant system. The program in the space is called Ondertussen (Meanwhile).

The European Ceramic Work Center (EKWC) in Den Bosch is an international artist-in-residence center which enables visual artists, designers, ceramic artists and architects to explore the technical and artistic possibilities of working with ceramics.
The artist Leontine Lieffering worked at the center from February thru May 2007. During this time she researched two recurring themes in her work: the creation of architectural references and working with molds and counter forms.

In 2006 Leontine Lieffering received a Stroom Research and Development subsidy for her research project.
