Public talk Stroom Invest Week 2017

A public program where the artists and curators will talk about the topic What does it mean to make art public?, in front of a live audience. The discussion is moderated by: Saskia van Stein (director Bureau-Europa NAiM, Maastricht) and there will be a contribution by Céline Condorelli in conjunction with the current Stroom exhibition Céline Condorelli: Proposals for a Qualitative Society (Spinning), which will be open to the public this evening.

From 11 thru 15 September 2017 Stroom Den Haag hosts the 11th edition of the Invest Week. The PRO Invest and PRO Premium grants support young artists who recently graduated from the art academy and artists with a busy and active artistic practice respectively. The annual Stroom Invest Week offers of a program of studio visits, a public evening of talks, visits to places for contemporary art in The Hague and a number of informal meetings. The goal of the Invest program is to stimulate their artistisc practice by reflecting on the work and giving the artists the opportunity to build a national and international network.

In the weeks leading up to the Invest Week 2017 art platform Jegens & Tevens, in collaboration with Stroom Den Haag, will publish a series of interviews with the participating curators.
